Sustainability

Why Choose Us Business Ethics

I am more convinced than ever that business can have a positive influence on the world.

– Sir Richard Branson

At Saito we recognise the importance of Sustainability across the board. Reducing waste in the traditional form, as well as conserving energy, creating a safe workplace and being a responsible employer.

Managing Waste

Our initial perception of waste is always in the traditional form of what we dispose of and how we dispose it. However, waste comes in many forms and Saito views this holistically.
While we do consider direct waste, and address this in many forms, including but not limited to –

  • Extraction units press side, that mulch waste into compact and reusable forms
  • Reduction of raw materials, limit waste of material used in jobs
  • Re-use and recycling of cardboards

We also consider waste on a whole, reviewing all aspects of waste –

  • Limiting overproduction
  • Eliminating of unnecessary processing
  • Eliminating of excess inventory
  • Excess Motion; Less Movement = smaller footprint

Corporate Responsibility

Health and Safety
Saito have a very active H&S committee; ensuring we have a team of First Aiders and approved Forklift Drivers, as well as operating regular Fire Drills and Hazard Audits.
Saito are also a member of the Zero Harm Forum. This is a coalition of business and government leaders committed to improving the performance of workplace health and safety in Australia.

Community
While our Founding Directors take a personal and private approach to donations and support of many charitable organisations and programs, Saito as a business is also involved in community initiatives.
